Invisalign versus braces.

Visibility

Practically invisible at conversation distance. Braces show, even aesthetic ones.

Eating

No restrictions: you remove them to eat. With braces, nothing hard or sticky.

Brush as always, no tricks. With braces, special brushes and threaders.

Discipline

They need 22 hours of wear a day; braces are fixed. If you know you won't wear them, braces are the honest choice.

Everything patients ask us

You feel pressure the first 24–48 hours with each new aligner — a sign it is working. It fades quickly and does not need medication.

No — and that is the advantage. You remove them, eat whatever you want, brush, and put them back. Only water while wearing them.

At a normal conversation distance, no. Some cases need small tooth-coloured attachments, still far more discreet than any bracket.

You move to the next one or go back to the previous one while we order a replacement. Let the office know and we sort it out.

The vast majority of crowding, spacing and bite cases can be treated with Invisalign; some call for braces or a combined approach. The consultation exists exactly to answer this: scan, diagnosis and an honest recommendation — even if the answer is braces.
