— 01 · Before you start
An iTero™ scan of your mouth (60 seconds per arch, no impressions), photographs and a conversation about what bothers you and what you are after. You leave with a diagnosis and, if the case suits aligners, a simulation of your final smile.
No. You can book directly. If you have recent X-rays or studies, bring them.
The vast majority of crowding, spacing and bite problems, yes. Some cases call for braces or a combined approach — and we will tell you.
Yes, from age 6 with Invisalign First when indicated. The AAO recommends a first check-up at 7.
— 02 · Price and duration
It depends on the plan (Lite, Comprehensive, Teen or First) and the complexity of the case. The price is set in writing at the consultation, with what it includes. We do not quote over the phone because without seeing the case it would be a guess.
Mild cases, 6–9 months. Complete cases, 12–18 months, sometimes with a short refinement phase. Wearing them 22 hours a day is what matters most.
It is detailed in writing: aligners, check-ups, refinements according to the plan and retention. No surprises at the end.
— 03 · During treatment
Pressure for the first 24–48 hours with each new aligner — a sign it is working. It rarely needs medication.
Not at conversation distance. Some cases use tooth-coloured attachments, far more discreet than a bracket.
No: they come out to eat and drink anything other than water, and you brush before putting them back. That is also their advantage: no food restrictions.
Every 6–8 weeks. Short visits to confirm each tooth is where the plan says.
Let the office know: we decide whether to move to the next one or order a replacement. The Teen plan includes replacements for lost aligners.
— 04 · Afterwards
Yes. Without retention, teeth tend to drift back. Vivera® retainers are made from the same scan and long-term wear is at night.
